Keep Calm At the end of our street is a treehousewhere the Wando is landing, sharing a sunset from where I’m standing.It’s a grassy-roofed hidden gemnestled among the live oak limbs.The ladder used to seem so steepand the tidal river so deep.Only when the tide’s coming inwe’d jump off the docks again and again.So many Augusts are now in the rear viewbut none some memorable as 2022.Changing countries and states and ages-starting jobs and school and paintings, stagesof life, it’s all new like the bright morning sunand as colorful as sunset when the day is done.It was quite a rainy week here, we’ve had some torrential storms, but no fear, the storms will come and they will pass byand time will continue to fly.So I’m taking in every moment, making it lastand enjoying the journey, it goes too fast!!
